2023 Lightwaves Pinot Noir

A perfumed, tightly structured Pinot Noir grown on the steep, close-planted granite sands of the Denton vineyard in Tarrawarra in the Yarra Valley. Humming with intensity and fully resolved over three years on lees in barrel; aged in the cool climes of the Yarra Valley, followed by the even cooler altitudes of Ashton in the Adelaide Hills. Artwork by UK-based artist and designer Alex Khabbazi.

Winemaking notes

A combination of whole bunch and de-stemmed ferments accentuates the innate attributes of the site.

Raised on lees for 3 years in 500L puncheon barrels, spending the first year of its maturation in the Yarra Valley and the remainder in the cool elevations of Ashton in the Piccadilly Valley region of the Adelaide Hills.

BHW x Alex Khabbazi

While his creative career began in architecture, UK-based artist and designer Alex Khabbazi now explores art in two dimensions. Through a process that combines analogue and digital techniques, his work pays close attention to the shared rhythm of illustration, typography and texture. His recent projects have seen this recurring theme applied to more naturalistic subjects from slithering serpents to strange plants. The upcoming design series features original works by Alex, to be released in April 2027.
